Loza at Bakklandet Wine Festival 2025

In July 2025, we at Loza had the pleasure of representing Ukrainian wine production at the Bakklandet Wine Festival in Trondheim. We shared stories about tradition, sustainable approaches, and unique grape varieties from the wine producer Chateau Chizay – and the response was very warm.

Festival guests showed great interest in Ukrainian wine culture. Many engaged in conversations about production methods and grape varieties, and wanted to learn more about wine traditions from regions that are still little known in Norway.

The many questions and feedback we received confirm that interest and respect for Ukrainian wine production is growing.

Chateau Chizay uses sustainable methods in grape growing and winemaking in Zakarpattia, continuing original recipes and cultural traditions from its region. For us, it is an honor to represent products that are built on true craftsmanship, knowledge and commitment.

This day reminded us of how valuable it is to build cultural bridges – and how wine can carry the story of a people, a landscape and an identity.
